Sheriff's Blotter: Palm Middle School Burglarized, 2 Computers Stolen

Reports filed between Sept. 13-24:

A report of a burglary was taken about 7:15 a.m. Sept. 24 in the 8400 block of Palm St. The Lemon Grove School District reported a loss of two computers valued at $800 each, and a cell phone valued at $50.

A report of rape was taken about 3:55 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 8200 block of Mt. Vernon St. The report lists the actual occurrence as 3 p.m. Sept. 21.

A 26-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in pubic about 4:30 a.m. Sept. 23 in the 1600 block of Primera St.

A 35-year-old woman was arrested about 3:15 p.m. Sept. 23 in the 2900 block of Flores Lane on a charge of spousal abuse.

A 31-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public about 2 a.m. Sept. 21 in the 7600 block of Broadway.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on a charge of sexual battery about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 3400 block of Washington St.

A report of battery was taken about 10:10 p.m. Sept. 21 at Massachusetts and Central Avenues. A 55-year-old victim suffered injuries listed at apparent broken bones, possible internal injury, and apparent minor injury.

A vehicle break-in occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 21 and 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22 in the 2100 block of Massachusetts Ave. Loss was reported at $2,850.

A 42-year-old woman filed a report of grand theft that occurred from 8 a.m. Sept. 20 to 1 p.m. Sept. 21 in the 7400 block of Madison Ave. Jewelry valued at $3,700 was missing.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on a parole violation following a subject stop about 12:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 7800 block of Broadway.

A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, obstruction, and a parole violation, and a 50 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and an outstanding bench warrant about 7:25 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 2100 block of Siegle Court.

A 36-year-old man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Sept. 20 in the 3200 block of Kempf Street on a charge of spousal abuse.

A 32-year-old man was arrested about noon Sept. 19 on suspicion of shoplifting $14 worth of food from Smart and Final.

A residential burglary was reported about 8:30 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 2000 block of Ensenada St.

A report of a sex crime against a child was taken about 2 p.m. Sept. 18 in the 7800 block of Broadway.

The Everything $5 store on Lemon Grove Way reported a burglary about 4:10 p.m. Sept. 17. Missing clothing was valued at $50.

A residential burglary was reported about 8 p.m. Sept. 17 in the 1900 block of Ensenada St. A bicycle valued at $1,000, auto parts, garden tools, and other items valued at $250 were missing.

A report of a suspicious person about 11:10 p.m. Sept. 16 led to the arrest of a minor for possession of marijuana and smoking paraphernalia in the 7000 block of San Miguel Ave.

A 64-year-old woman was arrested about 8:35 a.m. Sept. 14 in the 7900 block of North Ave. on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of paraphernalia.

A 35-year old woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI about 8:15 p.m. Sept. 13 in the 3200 block of Lemon Grove Ave.
