Sheriff's Blotter: Rape Reports Say Victims Were Drugged

Incidents of note from the press board at the Lemon Grove Sheriff's Station.

Information is pulled from a sample of reports filed from Sept. 30 to Oct. 24:

A traffic stop about 12:20 a.m. Oct. 21 at Canton Drive and Woodrow Avenue led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.

A report of rape states the incident happened sometime between 5 p.m. Oct. 18 and 7 a.m. Oct. 19 in the 3200 block of Main Street. A call for assistance at 12:22 p.m. Oct. 20 was made by a victim with an apparent minor injury, according to the report. The violation listed on the report is rape of a drugged victim.

A report of rape states the incident happened between 8:30 p.m. Oct. 13 and 8 a.m. Oct. 14 in the 6900 block of Central Avenue. The report states the call came from Grossmont Center Drive, and lists a victim with an apparent minor injury. The violation listed on the report is rape of a drugged victim.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with spousal abuse about 8:55 a.m. Oct. 19 at West Street and Lemon Avenue.

A 28-year-old man was arrested about 11:40 p.m. Oct. 13 and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. A report states a 22 year-old male victim suffered unconsciousness and a severe laceration.

A subject stop led to the arrest of a 36-year-old woman about 1:20 p.m. Oct. 12 on an outstanding felony warrant.

A 47-year-old man was arrested about 12:50 a.m. Oct. 12 at Buena Vista Avenue and Lemon Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A traffic stop led to the arrest of a 39-year-old man on a weapons charge about 10:20 a.m. Oct. 11 in the 8000 block of Roy Street. A report states he was armed with a lethal cutting instrument.

A subject stop about 10:45 a.m. Oct. 11 in the7400 block of North Avenue led to the arrest of a 23-year-old man on felony parole violation.

An 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with obstruction following a foot chase about 6:40 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 3300 block of Lemon Grove Avenue.

A 22-year-old man was arrested about 3:40 p.m. Oct. 10 and charged with furnishing marijuana to a minor, and being drunk in public. A juvenile was also arrested and charged with being drunk in public, and possession of smoking paraphernalia.

A 35-year-old man was arrested about 4:30 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 7500 block of Tweed Street and charged with battery of a spouse/ex spouse/date/etc.

A pistol valued at $50 was listed as found property about 8 a.m. Oct. 10 in the 3200 block of Main Street.

A 32-year-old woman reported her home burglarized and her sedan valued at $10,000 stolen sometime between 5 and 9 p.m. Oct. 10 in the 3000 block of Kennester Drive. A computer and keys were stolen from the home.

A 85-year-old woman reported her wallet stolen sometime between 7 a.m. Sept. 30 and 3 p.m. Oct. 8 in the 2200 block of Massachusetts Avenue. The wallet, valued at $15, contained $180 cash.

A report of a suspicious vehicle about 3 a.m. Oct. 8 in the 7100 block of Broadway led to the arrest of a 38-year-old man on possession of a destructive device, a firearms charge, and an outstanding felony warrant.

A 67-year-old woman filed a report of elder abuse by a caretaker about 1 p.m. Oct. 8 in the 8000 block of Darryl Street. A report states missing jewelry, electronics, and business cards valued at a total of $250.
