Small Fire at Trolley Station Quickly Doused
Electrical equipment may have been the cause.
A small fire that started in an electrical unit Wednesday afternoon at the Lemon Grove Depot was quickly extinguished by the Lemon Grove Fire Department.
The fire started in or around a piece of electrical equipment near the trolley stop on Broadway at about 3 p.m. and spread to some nearby vegetation. The flames were doused “in a short period of time,” said Chief Tim Smith, by the crew from one engine.
