Suspect in Lemon Grove Murder to be Arraigned

A man suspected in the death of a woman who authorities found lying on a Lemon Grove street is expected to be arraigned Wednesday on charges related to the crime.

Casey Tschida, 32, has been extradited from Oregon and will appear in San Diego Superior Court in El Cajon at 1:30 p.m. to formally hear the charges against him in the death of Jennifer Krajnak.

Tschida is suspected of fatally shooting Krajnak in the head in early January in the 7600 block of Pacific Avenue. The two, who appeared to know each other, had been at the same Lemon Grove bar but left separately, authorities said. Sheriff's deputies on patrol found Krajnak.  She had been shot in the head once.

A few days later, Tschida was found and arrested in Happy Valley, Ore, where he had reportedly fled to his mother's home, said San Diego County Sheriff's Lt. Glenn Giannantonio
