Suspects Escape After Robbing Spring Valley Office

The two thieves got away with an undetermined amount of cash, along with the wallets of two victims.

Two thieves dressed in dark clothing pulled guns on workers in the office of an East County recycling center today, ordered them to the floor and robbed them.

The holdup in the 1000 block of Elkelton Boulevard in Spring Valley was reported shortly after 10:30 a.m., according to sheriff's officials.

After stealing an undetermined amount of cash along with two of the victims' wallets, the robbers left the business and ran off into a nearby apartment complex, Sgt. Victor Rivera said. Deputies fanned out through the area in search of the bandits but were unable to find them.

No detailed descriptions of the thieves were released.
