Weekly Crime Report

Items of note from the desk of the Lemon Grove station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of May 31.

 

  • Servando Gutierrez, 44, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and driving on a suspended license due to a prior DUI on the evening of May 11. He was cited and released following the traffic stop at 1800 Noble Street, according to a report.
  • A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism after allegedly tampering with a vehicle in the 1500 block of Glencoe Drive on the evening of May 25. Robert Wright, who listed his occupation as mammal trainer, was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on an additional allegation of tempering with a vehicle. He is accused of damaging an orange SUV valued at $15,000.
  • A 26-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery in the 7200 block of Broadway on the morning of May 26. Constance Christin Castillon, 26, was scheduled to make a court appearance in connection with her arrest on Monday afternoon. She was arrested after a complaint by a 30-year-old witness at the Rite Aid, according to a report. In addition to felony robbery, she faces felony allegations of burglary, impersonation, possessing controlled substances and committing a felony while on bail. In addition, she faces charges of possessing deceptive government ID, possessing drug paraphernalia and being under the influence. At last report, total bail was set at $180,000.
  • Deputies arrested a 39-year-old man after stopping him in the 8200 block of Broadway during the early morning hours of May 29. Jason Brandt Gibbs was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of violating felony parole. The nature of the violation was not detailed. Jail records show he has been returned to state prison.
  • Deputies investigated an assault involving a 20-year-old man who sustained a severe cut in the incident, reported at Mount Vernon Street and Massachusetts Avenue, on the afternoon of May 29. No suspect information was  included in the summary of the incident.
  • Wiliam McPherson, 20, a felon on parole, was arrested on the evening of May 29 at Massachusetts Avenue and Main Street. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on a violation of terms of release, which were not detailed in the summary report.
  • A 33-year-old man was arrested on drug-related allegations following a traffic stop at New Jersey Avenue and San Miguel Avenue on the evening of May 25. Juan Lopez was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on three felonies, suspicion of transporting controlled substances, possessing drugs for sale and drug possession.
  • Ashley Campos, 21, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant in the 8000 block of Haven Drive on the afternoon of May 24. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee. The nature of the warrant was not detailed in the report.
  • A juvenile was arrested after deputies answered a report of a suspicious person in the 3300 block of Main Street on the afternoon of May 24. The suspect, whose name was not released, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Juvenile Court.
  • Wendy Brewer, 34, was arrested after being stopped at the Main Street trolley stop on the evening of May 24. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail on a felony allegation of receiving stolen property, misdemeanor possession of needles and an outstanding warrant. Credit cards reportedly belonging to a 51-year-old man were recovered during the arrest.
  • Jose Beltran, 26, was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant in the 3200 block of Main Street on the evening of May 19. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego. The warrant was not detailed.
  • A 29-year-old man was found beaten in the 2600 block of Davenport Lane during the early morning hours of May 23. The victim was reportedly found unconscious with major injuries shortly before 2 a.m.. No suspect information was reported.
  • Robert Christian, 23, was arrested after a disturbance reported in the 8000 block of Palm Street on the evening of May 23. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of resisting arrest and public drunkenness.

Vehicle thefts reported:

  • 7600 block of Lemon Avenue during the early morning hours of May 25. Red pickup valued at $20,000.
  • 400 block of Wolford Drive on the morning of May 23. Four-door red sedan valued at $1,500.

  • 1400 block of San Altos Place on the afternoon of May 23; $150 worth of vandalism reported.

Residential burglaries, hot prowls, or grand theft from buildings (items valued at $5,000):

  • 12800 Wieghorst Way on the morning of May 23.
  • 7900 block of Lincoln Street on the evening of May 23.
  • 8400 block of Golden Avenue on the morning of May 23.
