Weekly Crime Report: Jan. 13-23

Assault, burglary and financial elder abuse were reported in Lemon Grove.

Friday, Jan. 13

A residential burglary was reported in the 1600 block of La Corta Street. A necklace valued at $150, and $1,000 in cash were reported stolen.

Saturday, Jan. 14

A 52-year-old male was arrested for felony residential burglary and assault with a deadly weapon not a firearm in the 8400 block of Golden Avenue just before 7 a.m. According to a report, a 64-year-old female suffered a severe laceration and a possible internal injury, and a 43-year-old male suffered a minor injury.

Sunday, Jan. 15

A 34-year-old man was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance following a foot pursuit in the 7900 block of North Avenue just after 4 p.m.

Wednesday, Jan. 18

A gas cylinder valued at $47.99 was reported stolen from a gas station in the 8100 block of Broadway.

Friday, Jan. 20

A 48-year-old male and a 35-year-old male were arrested for felony receiving known stolen property in the 7900 block of North Avenue. A stun gun was recovered.

A case of financial elder abuse was reported in the 3200 block of New Jersey Avenue, occurring between Dec. 14-15, 2011. The loss was valued at $516.

An assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm was reported in the 7500 block of Broadway around 4 p.m. No arrests were reported.

A 33-year-old male was arrested for felony possession of a weapon and a controlled substance during a subject stop in the 7400 block of Broadway just after 8:30 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 21

A 26-year-old male was arrested for felony residential burglary in the 3000 block of Crane Street around 8 p.m.

A battery was reported in the 7000 block of Broadway. A 49-year-old male suffered a minor injury, according to a report.

Monday, Jan. 23

A 58-year-old man was arrested for felony threatening with intent to terrorize in the 3100 block of Chateau Way.

The willful discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner was reported in the 3100 block of Citrus Street just before 7:30 p.m. No arrests were reported.
