Weekly Crime Report: July 26

Traffic stops yield arrests on outstanding warrants, drug possession allegations.

Items of note from the desk of the Lemon Grove station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, as of July 25:

  • Victor Ontiveros, 27, was arrested on an outstanding warrant on the morning of July 24 at Blossom Avenue and Sweetwater Road following a traffic stop. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • A 24-year-old man was battered in the 1400 block of San Altos Place on the night of July 24. The victim sustained possible internal injuries, a severe cut and apparent broken bones in the incident, according to a report. No suspect information or weapon description was included in the report.
  • A 49-year-old woman was arrested on a misdemeanor battery allegation following a complaint by a 29-year-old man in the 7900 block of Broadway shortly before 7 p.m. July 22. Natalie Grove was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee. The victim had a minor injury in the incident, according to a report.
  • Craig Stanton, 30, was arrested on an outstanding warrant after being stopped by a deputy on Buena Vista Avenue at Central Avenue on the afternoon of July 21. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • A 22-year-old man was arrested at the Vons in the 900 block of Sweetwater Road on the night of July 21 following an alleged shoplifting.  The store recovered four DVDs valued at $86. Timothy Webb was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on felony petty theft with a prior jail term and misdemeanor shoplifting. 
  • A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of battery following a complaint by a 40-year-old woman in the 3100 block of Buena Vista Avenue on the afternoon of July 20. James Almadova was booked into County Jail on the battery allegation, in addition to public drunkenness. The victim sustained a minor injury, according to a report.
  • Dale Robison, 52, was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant in the 3500 block of Main Street on the morning of July 20. He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • Two women in their 20s reported being the victims of an armed robbery during the early morning hours of July 20 in the 3500 block of Grove Street. The victims reported the theft of a white four-door sedan valued at $6,000, $1,400 cash and about $2,500 worth of other belongings. No suspect information was reported and the weapon used was not disclosed in the report.
  • An unidentified victim reported being the victim of a strong-arm robbery in the 1700 block of San Altos Place on the evening of July 18. The victim reported the loss of a cellular telephone. No suspect information was listed.
  • Two people were arrested following a reported fight in the 2300 block of Washington Street on the night of July 18. Denise Serratos, 19, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and being drunk in public. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee. Oscar Serratos, 24, was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on suspicion of being drunk in public.
  • A 19-year-old man was cited under a zero-tolerance statute for driving with a measurable amount of alcohol in his system. Landry Parker was issued the citation under 23140 (A) of the state vehicle code during the early morning hours of July 17 following a traffic stop on Massachusetts Avenue at eastbound state Route 94.
  • Deputies arrested Joseph Andrade, 19, on suspicion of being in possession of drugs, a felony, and misdemeanor being under the influence and possessing unlawful paraphernalia in the 8400 block of Blossom Lane on the night of July 17.  He was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.
  • Deputies arrested Gregg Adkins, 21, on a felony drug possession allegation following a traffic stop in the 3400 block of Massachusetts Avenue on the night of July 15. In addition, he was booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego on driving under the influence. 
  • Rock Liquor, 7100 Broadway, reported an incident of forgery on the afternoon of July 12. No suspect information was listed. One check was recovered, according to a report. 

Vehicle thefts reported:

  • 3200 block of Broadway on the afternoon of July 22; white pickup valued at $500.
  • 7400 block of Dayton Street on the afternoon of July 19; black motorcycle valued at $4,000.
  • 3200 block of Sweetwater Road on the morning of July 20; red and white 510SMR motorbike valued at $5,000. 

Vehicle reported stolen and recovered:

  • Ildica Street at Maria Court on the afternoon of July 18; white SUV owned by Select Electric reported stolen from other jurisdiction.

Vehicle burglary with loss reported at $320:

  • 10000 block of Pandora Drive on the morning of July 20. 

Residential burglaries or grand thefts from buildings classified as felonies with items stolen valued from $636 to $1,600:
