Weekly Crime Report: Nov. 2-8

Good news for owners of stolen vehicles—several were recovered in the area since last week.

Items of note from the desk of the of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of Nov. 8:

Nov. 2

  • A stolen car was recovered in the 8000 block of Lemon Grove Way.
  • A license plate was reported stolen in the 6600 block of MacArthur Drive.
  • A stolen car was recovered in the 6600 block of San Miguel Avenue.

  • A 55-year-old man was arrested for felony shoplifting at Albertsons on Broadway around 8:30 a.m.
  • A stolen car was recovered in the 7000 block of Russan Lane.
  • A car valued at $1,500 was reported stolen in the 7100 block of Westview Place around 2 p.m.
  • A license plate was reported stolen in the 3200 block of College Place.

Nov. 4

  • A case of food tampering was reported in the 7100 block of Broadway around 9:30 a.m. A 63-year-old woman reported a minor injury.
  • A purse was reported stolen in the 7400 block of Broadway around noon. Reported missing were $200 currency and an electronic component valued at $80.

  • A stolen car was recovered in the 7600 block of Church Street.
  • A car valued at $2,000 was reported stolen in the 7600 block of Broadway between 10 p.m. Nov. 4 and 12:20 a.m. Nov. 5.
  • Liquor valued at $15 was reported stolen from AMPM in the 8000 block of Broadway just after midnight.

Nov. 6

  • A stolen car was recovered in the 2600 block of Davenport Lane

Nov. 7

  • A 21-year-old woman was arrested for felony willful cruelty to a child, suspicion of DUI and driving with a suspended license on Broadway at Olive Street around 2 p.m.
  • A car valued at $2,000 was reported stolen in the 3200 block of College Place between 10 a.m. and 1:20 p.m.
  • A commercial burglary was reported in the 7500 block of Broadway. A 25-year-old man was arrested for felony burglary at Home Depot. A $400 power tool was recovered.

Nov. 8

  • A pickup was reported vandalized in the 2200 block of Main Street, occurring between 10 p.m. Nov. 6 and 7 a.m. Nov. 8. Damage was estimated at $450.
  • A theft from a building was reported in the 2500 block Mulder Drive, occurring between Sept. 26 and Nov. 8. Jewelry valued at $7,350 was reported missing.
  • A car valued at $1,500 was reported stolen in the 3500 block of Citrus Street just after 1 p.m.
