Weekly Crime Report: Sept. 14

Drug charges, allegations of parole violations and suspected drunken driving make the roundup of crimes reported.

Items of note from the desk of the Lemon Grove station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department as of Sept. 12. Unless otherwise noted, suspects placed under arrest were booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

  • A 35-year-old man was arrested after being contacted by deputies in the 8400 block of Broadway at 10 p.m. Sept. 7 on a felony parole violation.Deputies were called to the 8400 block of Palm Street at 12:43 p.m. Sept. 8 to investigate a report of a juvenile in possession of marijuana during school activities and being a minor in possession of smoking paraphernalia. The matter regarding the unidentified juvenile is being handled within the department and no arrest was made, according to a report.
  • Two people were arrested on drug allegations after deputies were called to the 7200 block of San Pasqual Street at 1:11 a.m. to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle. Deputies booked a 33-year-old man on a felony drug possession allegation, as well as a felony parole violation and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. A 19-year-old man was arrested on a felony drug possession allegation and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. 
  • A 19-year-old man was arrested after being stopped in the 7900 block of Lincoln Street at 9:35 p.m. Sept. 9 on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear in court.
  • A 21-year-old woman was cited on suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism after another woman reported damage to her SUV in the 1800 block of Skyline Drive at 7:48 p.m. Sept. 10. Deputies cited the woman after less than $400 damage was found to a blue SUV valued at $10,000, according to a report.
  • Deputies issued a citation to a 25-year-old woman following a traffic stop in the 7600 block of Broadway at 9:20 p.m. Sept. 2 on suspicion of unlawfully displaying registration, a misdemeanor, and an “open container” infraction.
  • Deputies arrested a 26-year-old man following a traffic stop at Mount Vernon Street and Massachusetts Avenue at 8:47 p.m. on Sept. 2. He was booked on suspicion of drunken driving, driving on a suspended license due to a prior DUI and operating a vehicle with a measurable amount of alcohol in his system while on probation for DUI.
  • A 27-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and driving on a suspended license after a traffic stop at 7:13 p.m. Sept. 3. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee.
  • A 50-year-old man was arrested following a traffic stop at Broadway and Kempf Street at 9:06 p.m. Aug. 26. In addition to drunken driving, he was booked on a probation violation, according to a report.
  • A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of robbery after deputies were dispatched to a battery call in the 1700 block of San Altos Place at 10:12 p.m. Sept. 1. He was arrested on Angelus Avenue at 11 p.m. A 30-year-old male victim in the case sustained an injury described as major, according to the report.
  • Golden State Gas, 7000 Broadway, reported the theft of $10,000 worth of cigarettes after deputies responded to a burglary alarm at 3:57 a.m. Sept. 2. No suspect information was reported.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested on an alleged felony parole violation after being stopped in the 7500 block of Broadway at 1:50 p.m. Sept. 2.
  • Deputies took a report of a battery in the 3200 block of Massachusetts near San Miguel Avenue after being dispatched to the Main Street area at 2:23 p.m. on Sept. 2 The 54-year-old woman's specified injuries in the case were described as major. The injuries were reported as having occurred on Aug. 20 at 8:30, according to a report, but no suspect information was reported.
  • A 37-year-old male felon was arrested on a firearms allegation after deputies were called to the 2100 block of Eldora Street at 2:22 p.m. He was booked on felony allegations of being a felon in possession of a firearm, and prohibitions against owning ammunition. He was also booked on misdemeanor vandalism and violating a court order. An estimated $100 in miscellaneous damage was reported by a 49-year-old woman, according to a report. 
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested Sept. 4 at 10:23 a.m. after deputies were called to the 8000 block of Lemon Grove Way. He was booked on suspicion of resisting arrest and public drunkenness.
  • Deputies were called to investigate a report of an injured person in the 7200 block of Broadway at 10:51 p.m. Sept. 4. They found a 49-year-old man who had sustained what was described as a minor injury. No suspect information was reported.
  • A 33-year-old woman reported her keys were stolen in a strong-arm robbery in the 3500 block of West Street at 10:40 p.m. Sept. 4. No suspect information was listed.
  • A 54-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant following a traffic stop at 10:21 a.m. Sept. 5 in the 7000 block of Broadway.
  • An unnamed juvenile was arrested in the 1500 block of Primera Street at 9:37 p.m. Sept. 5 on an outstanding warrant. The youth was booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of failing to obey a court order.
  • Deputies arrested a 49-year-old man on suspicion of robbery after a report from the Home Depot at 7500 Broadway at 1:35 p.m. Sept. 6. A 37-year-old male victim in the case reported a minor injury and a power tool valued at $169 was recovered in the case.
  • A 22-year-old woman was arrested after a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Lemon Grove Avenue at 1:23 a.m. Sept. 1. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee on suspicion of driving with a suspended license due to a prior DUI and an outstanding warrant, in addition to driving with alcohol in her system while on probation for DUI.

  • Fred Finch Center, 3400 block of Grove Street, 8:47 a.m. Sept. 9.
  • 1600 block of Cameron Drive at 4:33 p.m. on Sept. 10.

  • 8400 block of Mount Vernon Street at 8:39 a.m. on Sept. 4. Green four-door sedan valued at $2,500.
