Weekly Crime Report: Sept. 20

Outstanding warrants, allegations of assault, and suspicion of being under the influence make the roundup of crimes reported.

Items of note from the desk of the Lemon Grove station of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, as of Sept. 19, 2011. Unless otherwise noted, suspects placed under arrest were booked into County Jail in downtown San Diego.

  • A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, a felony, after being stopped at 8500 Palm Street at 12:41 a.m. Sept. 18.
  • Two men in their 20s reported an assault in the 7700 block of Palm Street at 2:40 am. Sept. 18. Both sustained injuries described as major. No suspect information was reported.
  • A 45-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs, a felony, after being stopped at Golden Avenue at Kempf Street at 9:44 p.m. Sept. 17.
  • A 59-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a felony battery allegation after deputies were called to the 7900 block of North Avenue at 5:52 p.m. Sept. 15. She was booked into the Las Colinas women's jail in Santee.
  • A 22-year-old woman was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant after deputies were called to the 3200 block of Main Street at 4:41 p.m. Sept. 13. She was booked into the Metropolitan Correctional Center.
  • Deputies issued a citation to a 19-year-old woman on suspicion of driving without a license and being underage driving with .05 blood alcohol content following a traffic stop at Golden Avenue and Kempf Street at 1:33 a.m. Sept. 11. She was released following the traffic stop, according to a report.
  • Rite Aid at 7200 Broadway reported a shoplifting incident at 6:22 p.m. Sept. 10. More than $154 was reported stolen and recovered.
  • Two people were cited on suspicion of misdemeanor petty theft at the Rite Aid, 7200 Broadway after deputies were called at 5:10 p.m. on Sept. 9. A 23-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were released after signing promises to appear in court on the allegations.

Residential and commercial burglaries (Items stolen valued at $820):

  • 1400 block of Skyline Drive at 11:35 a.m. on Sept. 16.

Vehicles reported stolen (Unless otherwise noted, no values listed):

  • 7700 block Mount Vernon Street at 7:20 a.m. on Sept. 14.

Recovered vehicles previously reported as stolen (Unless otherwise noted, no values listed):

  • Ildica Street at Blossom Lane, 10:43 a.m. Sept. 13. White four-door sedan.
  • 7700 block of Canton Drive at 3:59 p.m. Sept. 6. Silver four-door valued at $20,000.

Vehicle burglaries:

  • 3600 block of Avocado Boulevard at 8:33 p.m. Sept. 7.
