Resident Leadership Academy Presentation and Celebration

The Lemon Grove School District invites the public to join participants of the as they present the community with plans they developed to improve the quality of life in Lemon Grove.

The ideas are the product of 12 weeks of discussion focused on healthy lifestyle choices, access to nutritious food, community growth, crime prevention and other topics key to creating positive changes at the neighborhood level.

The 17 residents who completed the academy will be honored for their participation, and the advocacy group's community improvement projects will be unveiled.

The presentation takes place from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, in the auditorium at Golden Avenue School. Refreshments will be served. Childcare will be provided, as will Spanish/English translation.

The Resident Leadership Academy is part of the “Live Well, San Diego!” initiate, a Healthy Works project administered by the San Diego Health and Human Services Agency through a federal grant funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
