Lemon Grove Asks for Input on New Health and Wellness Policies

This city is also surveying residents about their fast food habits.

To help complete a new addition to the General Plan, the city is seeking feedback from residents on how to make living, working and playing in Lemon Grove healthier—and asking about your fast food habits.

Residents are invited to weigh in on the upcoming draft Health and Wellness Element, which will focus on increasing physical activity and healthy food consumption in Lemon Grove. The city wants to know what kinds of improvements residents find most interesting—such as more parks and places to exercise, healthier food choices, and better areas for walking and biking.

A community workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. July 25 at the Lemon Grove Community Center, 3146 School Lane.  Participants will learn about the policy options in the Health and Wellness Element and discuss what is important to include.
