History Alive: Dr. Pat Abbott

Dr. Pat Abbott, author, essayist and SDSU emeritus professor of geology, has extensively studied ancient soils and climates in relation to the impact of humankind on earth and its many ecologies. His interest in fire, flood, volcanoes, landslides and severe weather have made him the go-to expert for the central geological issue in California life—earthquakes.

The local earthquake expert and media commentator will offer insight on “the big one” at the next History Alive lecture.

The free lecture series is sponsored by the Lemon Grove Historical Society. Programs are suitable for ages 13 and older.
