School Golf Tournament Hits the Links Sunday

The annual fundraiser for Golden Avenue Elementary is held at Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon.

Ready to tee up for a cause? Golden Avenue Elementary School's is this weekend!

The third annual event is heading to the links for the Lemon Grove school's physical education program. All proceeds will go directly to the Comprehensive Wellness Program that provides rich experiences for students so they can learn how to become lifelong movers.

The tournament, held at El Cajon's Cottonwood Golf Club, will include a luncheon and silent auction. The format is a four-person scramble and costs $110 per person. Cost includes the green fee, cart rental, balls, a carne asada or chicken enchilada lunch and and raffle tickets.

Golfers can try their luck (or skill) at a hole-in-one at a selected hole for a chance to win a 2012 Ford Focus from Drew Ford. The winner will get the car for a two-year lease.
