More than 100 students from Golden Avenue Elementary School were treated Friday afternoon to high-flying basketball talents of four San Diego State basketball players.
It was part of SDSU Aztec Day—with students and staff dressed the part in red and black.
After answering student questions, the collegians—Jamaal Franklin, Dwayne Polee II, Gabby Clark and Chairese Culberson—took on some Tigers with formidable skills in half-court scrimmages.
A faculty vs. sixth grade game preceded the SDSU exhibition, held at the Lemon Grove Recreation Center adjacent to the school. The players appearances and the faculty-student games brought thunderous applause from observers, including staff.
