Look It Up! Rotarians Deliver Dictionaries to Third Graders [Photos]

The annual project benefits students at the Lemon Grove Academy for the Sciences and Humanities elementary school.

Every year, Rotary of Lemon Grove delivers a dictionary to each third grade student at the Lemon Grove Academy for the Sciences and Humanities elementary school (formerly Golden Avenue School).

Rotarians place labels in each dictionary with a copy of The Four-Way Test:

Of the things we think, say or do,

Is it the TRUTH?

Is it FAIR to all concerned?

Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

As you can see by the photos, students love to receive the hands-on dictionaries, and begin to look up words almost immediately.

Nice if you can actually pass such a bill but we are dealing with politicians who cherish the powerRead More they have attained rising to the top. In actuality this has "A Snowballs Chance In Hell" of passing, but kudos for the effort.
