When the San Diego Padres took to the Petco Park field Tuesday to play the Los Angeles Dodgers in the team's 10th home owner, players had some very special guests.

During the opening, 25 players from the Lemon Grove Little League accompanied Padres starters onto the field while the line-up was announced, reported City News Service. The Lemon Grove visitors were in celebration of the second year of the Padres Youth Baseball Initiative.

The Lemon Grove Little League, which kicked off its 2013 season March 2, had a big year in 2012.  The Senior League All-Stars competed in the 2012 World Series in Bangor, Maine and returned home with a national championship.
