Congratulations to the Lemon Grove Little League Seniors All-Stars baseball team! They've won their subdivision tournament, pounding out a 12-2 victory over the Fontana Community Little League.
The local heroes advance to the Southern California championship Saturday in Upland, CA, where they will face off against the El Rio Little League.
It's the first time in Lemon Grove Little League history the team has taken the Subdivision III South championship title. According to the LGLL website, outstanding pitching by Brandon Weed combined with timely hitting to clinch the win.
