It's OK Santa - We Forgive You

Santa is one creepy guy.

What with all the watching us when we're sleeping and when we're awake. What with all that judging us as naughty or nice. You know.

It's just not cool.

But even with his whole judgmental attitude, we have decided to give the jolly fella a break. We've decided to rise above such a lowly mental state, take back our power and claim that our innocence, innately, is infinite. We are claiming that, at core, we are not ever naughty (unless we want to be with our significant others), we don't have to label our actions as "nice," and our feelings and actions are either an expression of love or a cry out for it.

We also have decided that we do not need to be rewarded for our actions by some outside authoritarian force. Such a police state has no place in a community, family or tribe that celebrates its own, naturally. Sorry - no more need for some overweight old white dude to play a fear-mongering god in this Christmas story.

The story is over. Or perhaps it's changing. Or perhaps it's evolving. We have decided to celebrate unity and love the way that Christ may have always wanted it when the phrase "Love one another" first found its way to our world.

In this light, even Santa is forgiven for his separating, judging and creepy ways. In this light, we all have a chance to be embraced by the illumination that envelopes the planet. In this light, may we all have a Happy Christmas and may we all have a good night...
