If you wanted pancakes—and lots of them—the place to be Saturday morning was Lemon Grove Middle School. The Lemon Grove Kiwanis Club held its 57th annual pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7 to 11 a.m. in the Roberto Alvarez Auditorium.

Just after 10 a.m. club president Craig Lake said he'd flipped about 5,000 flapjacks.

“It started off slow, but picked up,” Lake said. “We're doing well.”
