I had looked into several driving schools before selecting Worldwide Driving/AKA* A Plus Driving School. When speaking to a representative at Worldwide I was advised that fee would be 199.00 for the behind the wheel training and the educational portion could be done online at no charge. I was extremely excited and felt they had the best price comparable to other schools. I went ahead paid for the school and received an email confirmation of my proof of payment.
My daughter immediately passed the written course and later passed her permit, following the passing of the permit we scheduled the behind the wheel training. I became a little concern after my daughter first be hind the wheel training, when she told me the instructor and her picked up another student and she was also in the car while the other student was driving. I think if this is the school normal procedure they should advise the parents, being that I am a nervous mom with my daughter being behind the wheel, I then became extremely nervous for her to be in car with another student driver learning to drive; however despite my concerns I continued the program and arranged for another behind the wheel training.
Now it is time for the third and final behind wheel training, I am currently out of town and received an email notification that my account had been over drawn, when reviewing my account I notice that A Plus Driving School had withdrawn $65.00 from account. I extremely confused for two reason, 1st- I had paid for the course in full on 9/5/13 and 2nd- I did not authorize them to draft out my account on 12/31/13. I was not even aware my card was being held for continuance transaction, per when I paid the up front fee the email receipt served as confirmation to draft from account for the $199.00.
I then contacted my bank and Worldwide, per the representative the fee of $65.00 was drafted out my account for additional DMV fee and there yellow certificate, I then advised I was never told there would be additional fees and did not authorize them to draft from my account. Representative stated the additional fee is noted on the contract that was attached to the receipt, I indicated I never received a contract, she said it should be attach to the receipt and for me to check my receipt.
When checking the receipt I found it to be very misleading, and at no time I was told that a contract would be attached, you should think the customer would want to review the contract and making sure they completely understand the requirements before the pay the fee. At no time in my initial consultation I was advised of anything noted in the contract other than the $199.00 upfront fee and the information to get started.
When contacting the DMV I was told there will be no additional fee required, per the fee was paid at the time the permit test was taken.
I have been communicating to Worldwide by email, I also provided a copy of the contract that was sent with my receipt providing proof that the contract does not state there be additional fee of $65.00, intern Worldwide has terminated my service stating they know that I am not satisfied with there service, so therefore I can complete the course with a another school.
My daughter and I have been in compliance with this school and had no problem up until they drafted out my account unauthorized and failed to provide proof of charge. My daughter had only two hours left to complete the training, which I paid for and should not have to go to another school to complete the process.
