1968 was such a sad year. I went to school with Max Goodwin's daughter. I graduated from Lemon GroveRead More Jr. High that year and our graduation just felt sad. I asked Mr. Brogan if something could be said at the graduation about Dr. King and Bobby Kennedy, but he said, after asking, that it was too political. Something should have been said. Sigh. It was a difficult year for so many parents because some of their kids were getting very political and Vietnam was raging. I was glad when 1969 finally arrived. I also went to school with Michelle Cremer. I had never known that about her dad. My older sister went to Mt. Miguel with Darci Cremer. May dear Darci rest in peace.

@Muslim radicals are the problem here. This jihad/war whatever the hell you want to call it, willRead More never end in our lifetime. Ultimately the Muslims will win. Look no further than Europe. Unless there is a full fledged worldwide war, they really can't be stopped. Their numbers are too great. What we are doing in Afghanistan is nothing more than swatting away a bee every time one flies out of the hive. But there are millions still in the hive. Unless we close our borders to people from the Middle East and parts of Eastern Europe, what happened in Boston will continue. It's not racist to not like Muslims just like it wasn't racist to not like the Russians during the Cold War or Germans during WWII.

Thanks to these two scum brothers, I can no longer transport my hearty meals in my trusty pressureRead More cooker via backpack. As an alternative, I tried to fit a crock pot, but it ruined my backpack zipper and made a meatball/marinara mess inside my backpack; even making way into the USB ports of my laptop. Sorry, tupperware won't cut it. It just gets too hot and eventually leaves a huge welt on my back.

Do you think this upgrade to the park will finally convince the city to put some lights on BerryRead More Street? Presently, the pitch dark side of Berry Street at night invites people not interested in their dogs. Other thought - what will happen to the parking for the Thursday night summer concerts?

My sons team was one of the teams that was honored with the opportunity to take the field with theRead More San Diego Padres. As mom of #12, a native San Diegan and a Lemon Grove resident, I was so honored to be there to see these boys represent their community and the San Diego Padres. It was an awesome experience that I hope these boys never forget. Way to Lemon Grove!
