Looks like Lemon Grove is really coming up in the world as library's are key to an educated and…Read More informed population. Not having the ringer for over 10 years and now it being re-installed does have one major drawback, Lemon Grove schools will no longer be in contention for the NoBell prize.

Picking up kids from middle school is NOT an all day event. Generally it's a process that takes 5-10…Read More minutes. Since there isn't a dedicated parking lot and no room to install one, I still see street parking as the primary source for this new building. I suppose you can use the rec center parking lot to the north, walk if you live near by or take the bus.

Wow, 48 comments, all negative outlooks on Mr. Kelly, Hmmm... what inferred meaning do we derive?…Read More
One more question to ponder.... Mr. Kelly, please answer this; A 12th HS campus, with modern classroom and 21st Century curriculum offerings is good logic, to benefit all of the GUHSD, and attracts new students and new ADA revenues.
It would prevent 600 + Alpine area students from Unifying out of the GUHSD (600 x $6,000 ADA per student = a loss of $3.6 million) which just might save the GUHSD from financial disaster which it is flirting with! Also, the GUHSD lost 336 student from Alpine when Steele Canyon HS bailed out of the GUHSD. They could regain all of these students if the 12th HS was built. 336 x $6,000 = $2.02 million + 3.6 M, totals $5.62 million ( ++ $5,000,620.00 WOW, could this be true, YES) that building the 12th HS could save or regain to strengthen the GUHSD bottom fiscal line... A no brainer Mr. Kelly!

PS - The above "Resolution outline", as a framework and basis for GUHSD consideration, is…Read More good logic to benefit all of the GUHSD, and attracts new students and new ADA revenues.

This "Resolution outline" is only viable if (and only if) the $65,000,000 funding balance (minus the land at ~$20,000,000) of bonds remains available. The Approximate amount remaining of $45,000,000 in "Escrow", was promised by the GUHSD Superintendent, and approved by the Governing Board by a 5-0 vote, which was recorded via a Bd. Resolution that stated this was to be reserved in an escrow.
As a matter of disclosure of facts, let's ask the GUHSD Administration, "show us our reserved escrow $45,000,000 reserved for the 12th high school." Where is our funding "Escrow" to be available when needed to complete the 12th high school as stipulated by resolution, and 5-0 decree by the GUHSD Board? Time for an Audit?
The Prop H and U Citizens Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) has as their mandate of their Prop H & U, 55% vote passes Proposition 39 which created a CBOC to safeguard our Bond funds.
"CBOC, where today, is the $45,000,000 reserve for the 12th HS Project?"
