Catherine Spearnak, Neighbor

Cathy Spearnak has spent 10 years as a reporter writing for local San Diego newspapers including the former <i>Los Angeles Times, San Diego County Edition,</i> <i>The San Diego Evening Tribune, San Diego Magazine, and The Escondido Times-Advocate. </i> She holds a master&#39;s degree in journalism from <i>The Medill School of Journalism</i> at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

Following her years in journalism, Cathy spent 15 years working in public relations for some of San Diego&#39;s largest companys,  including Sharp Healthcare, Scripps Health and the County of San Diego. She also taught middle school English at The Preuss School UCSD for two years before returning to journalism.
