18th ANNUAL “WINGS OVER GILLESPIE” AIR SHOW SET FOR JUNE 1 & 2

Air Group One (AG-1), the San Diego Wing of the
Commemorative Air Force, invites San Diegans to attend the  18th annual “Wings Over Gillespie” Air
Show the weekend of  June 1 and 2. This
year’s event will be held at Gillespie Field in El Cajon from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

With exciting events and displays for the entire family,
Wings Over Gillespie will commemorate San Diego’s contribution to aviation in
WWII and will feature a collection of San Diego designed and built aircraft
along with vintage aircraft aerial and ground displays, military re-enactors,
paratroopers and a mock battle with "pyro."

A designated City of El Cajon Centennial Celebration event,
Wings Over Gillespie is sponsored by Barona Resort & Casino,
Millennium Laboratories, Sprouts Farmers Markets, GKN Aerospace, County of San
Diego Airports, San Diego Air & Space Museum, and TEAM KIA El Cajon.

 

Online tickets
are now available. Discounts on advance ticket sales start as low as $8 and can
be purchased on the Air Group One website at www.ag1caf.org/.
Parking is free. The entrance to the show will be at the Gillespie Field
Administration Building located at 1960 Joe Crosson Drive. The gates will be open
